Egg Drop Contest =)

We could have changed our thing to a bigger parachute. Because it wasnt big enough to catch enough air, there for it didn't slow down enough. We also maybe could have made it bigger and added more coushion. But, other than that I think it was good. But, it could have been better. At least it lasted to the second round. I didn't even think it was goin to make it through the first round. So, that is a +. hehe...but it was fun!!!
We made ours out of alot of stuff. Like, popsicle sticks, hot glue, black paint, paper clips, bolts, cotton balls, rubbber bands, paper, and a few other things. I think it would have also been better if I added fewer bolts. I was trying to make it where it wasn't top heavy. But, I ended up makeing it too heavy and it wayed it down to much. Whitch make it hit the ground faster and harder. So to conclude there was a lot of thing i would have fixed on the egg drop prject contes thing. I bet my partners on this project wanted to change alot also . I just wish I could have come up with a better idea. Anyway, now I am just babbling on about nothing so...bye.




P.S. this was a really fun project and I would do it again in a heart beat...

What I Learned On The 8th Grade Trip!!!

I learned that Finding Nemo lied to me, it says that you can touch a jellyfish on the top and it won't sting, but in real life it will sting you anywhere it touches you. I also learned that, there were 3 nasa ships that could not be deployed during WWII.

Chinese Symbols Project

What I learned during my projest is that China has tons of alphabets and each has at least 46 characters. The yin and yang symbol, i always thought it meant peace, but it really means though opposites they become one. (this is the pic above)

8th Grade Trip!

Well, I probably won't get to go, but if there is the slitest chance I do here is what I am looking forward to. I am looking forward to going on the boat and getting to look at all the stuff they pull out of the ocean. I get into all that kind of stuff, it is just really interesting. I also look forward to going to NASA. It is a really cool place to go to. I am looking forward to all the stuff we get to do, but those are my 2 favorites. And so to conclude that is what I am looking forward to on out 8th grade trip.

Surveillance Cameras

I think public placces should have the cameras inside and out but just no cameras in the restrooms. I think people should still have privacy too. I think they should have them inside because sometimes there might be a glare on the camera outside so you need one inside. That is just what I think.

The Holocaust

I learned alot more about Anne Frank than I knew I always thought Hitler's people killed her and her sister, but I was wrong. She died of the disease Typhus right after he sister did. They think she might have lived a little longer if she didn't roll off her bed when she was so weak and sick. If she wouuld have lived a little longer she would have maybe gotten out and been able to go to a doctor maybe that is just what I think.

Ok, so my class is going to read the book bye jack London called, The Call of the Wild. I'm excited to read it because I want to read more about the Iditarod. he is a famouse writer, he had 2 kids, was married 2 times, and he died at the age of 40. I'm also ready to read it because it is written in a dog's point of view. So thats all for now...bye!

Iditarod!

Ok so my class watched the idtarod from 2008. I loved it! I loved almost all the mushers they we sooo awesome! I really want to go do a iditarod, but I would be too scared to go out by myself in the dark. If I ever did have the chance I would probably just get over my fear and go for a short one. I loved watching the show, I would rather watch that than anything else on tv. I would really love to meet the mushers on the show. It would be so awesome, I just want to tell them that they are some incredible people. I would also just be able to meet their dogs, because they put in 75% of the work also. And that is what I wanted to say about the iditarod...

Environmental Change Blog...

LOSS of HABITAT...

A loss of habitat can be caused by, technology or population and stuff like that.

This is happening in forest and other places with lots of trees and lots of land.

Lots of animals are being affected by this, like birds loose their homes when tree are cut down, and like when land is used up it kicks out cute little fuzzy animals.

I know we need room for stuff but we only really need to do this if we seriously need the room, so that is what i think about it.

What I would do here is...I would probably go swimming with all my friends! I would also make a huge sandcastle, or i would at least try.I would go, scuba diving, that sounds sooo much fun! I would also go hang out at the pool and just hangout with my friends. I would probably go just hangout on the beach with my family because i <3 hangin out with my family on the beach!!!
